Outdoor Classroom
In 2004, the East Oktibbeha County High School Alumni group hired the Small Town Center (STC) to design an outdoor classroom which would also serve as an amphitheater. The STC team not only designed but constructed much of the classroom, and an educational walking trail provides access from the school to the classroom. Local football legend, Jerry Rice of the San Francisco 49ers, made donations for the classroom and met with the STC team about the project.
